Lab Systems & Software Engineer
Our client is a highly established Molecular Diagnostics company who is on a mission to provide and continuously deliver actionable answers at critical decision points across the cancer care continuum, with the goal of offering ongoing improvements for patient outcomes by accelerating and optimizing diagnosis and treatments. Ideally, the most suitable candidate will be someone who can be strategic, then walk out of a meeting and be innovative and self-motivated to undertake their key responsibilities and possess a deep understanding of their role and the impact. They implemented LIMS in 2019 in their corporate headquarters. In the future, they have plans of branching out to expand their services to implement in other locations. Scope of Role:
Supporting all lab operations regarding software and data Good understanding of the entire lab operation Data Mapping, Data Structure, Gathering requirements Technically inclined - Writing stored procedures, understanding cloud environments - AWS, Azure, Data architecture, data structure Specifically in LIMS area, Molecular lab environment experience will be advantageous and good understanding of software development lifecycle - SDLC System Owner - In-depth understanding of the ins and outs of system and understanding how its set-up and configured, etc. Will be expected to manage system enhancements, business and lab processes and aim to understand current system Project support, user testing and how to implement requirements the user needs, documenting, validation Break-Fix, admin, troubleshooting tickets, identifying strategic ways of how to effectively manage ticket while collaborating with partners Possessing good project management skills and working with various groups on varying time zones and being a visionary Clinical setting and an R&D setting experience being extremely helpful as this role may work with patient samples in a clinical setting and/or R&D Laboratory Must have experience with managing and/or implementing a lab information management system (LIMS) Primary contact for escalation of any lab systems custom software, data integrations and system enhancements Execute daily operations - configurations, administration, validation and master data managements, etc. of all Laboratory systems and related software Provide hands-on operational support, technology out of the box configurations, process and content for installed solutions to implement and maintain efficient and effective operational processes. Spearhead all efforts around the integration of lab instruments with various software and systems Translate business requirements to technical requirements that will service to design and implement the appropriate infrastructure. Adhere to best practices around HIPAA, HITRUST, GDRP and GxP In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle methodology when delivering new solutions and system enhancements Frequent collaboration with business systems owners and the quality compliance organization Undertaking tasks related to writing/maintaining systems documentation and adherence to IT Policies, SOPs, compliance standards, GxP requirements and change controls Key Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in computer science /Information Systems related to equivalent experience 3
years supporting Biotechnology or Pharmaceutical operations and experience supporting lab-related applications, custom software projects, IT and business process development Hands-on experience with GxP and regulated systems, including the execution of computer system validation deliverables and processes. Demonstrated experience in new system implementations and software development life cycle Proven ability to effectively own and support multiple systems and concurrent projects Strong cross functional and analytical skills Working knowledge of database structure, Microsoft SQL Server is a PLUS Working knowledge of Linux-Based Operating Systems Dashboard Development and Metrics Reporting Experience managing large amounts of data Proven ability to effectively manage high levels of activity and multiple demands simultaneously Exceptional verbal and written communication skills as well as strong presentation skills Maintains a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and legal regulations Flexibility:

$80K -- $100K
