Senior Director, Fleet Transportation Business Unit:
Presort Services Role Summary As the subject matter expert for all logistics and transportation activities, the Senior Director Transportation is a key member of the Presort team. The Senior Director Transportation reports directly to the Vice President of Operations and serves as an advisor to the Executive team. He or she is responsible for overseeing the execution of strategies in support of the company's growing Transportation operations ( $100M annual spend). This role will lead all aspects of the transportation network including fleet management, 3rd party logistics, cost management, demand planning, forecasting, and the logistics of inbound and outbound traffic. The Senior Director Transportation will manage internal, cross-functional relationships and oversee significant third-party supplier and vendor relationships to ensure on-time performance of the outsourced transportation network while controlling costs. They will establish strategy, structure, processes, and systems capable of scaling in support of the broader Presort strategies. The Senior Director Transportation is responsible for modeling company values and promoting the company culture and ensuring an effective, deployable succession plan is in place. The Senior Director Transportation needs to be a 21st century leader and keep talent development and retention at the forefront of their objectives. Key Result Areas o Establish, in partnership with the Senior Leadership Team, multi-year transportation strategies; aligned with company-wide strategic and capital allocation priorities and initiatives. o Guide execution against these plans, adjusting as market conditions change and evolve. Assist Operating Centers and Regional Management in developing and implementing a strategy for achieving logistics targets. o Clearly communicate transportation strategy, tactical priorities, and performance expectations across the Transportation organization and work collaboratively with leadership to ensure strategies are productively aligned o Establish reliable forecasts and aggressive but attainable goals for unit economics ensuring these goals are linked to growth in the overall economic value of the business oo Lead cost/benefit analysis and risk assessments to evaluate feasibility and profitability of potential external partnerships or insourcing strategies. o Identify risk reduction measures through effective risk mitigation programs that focus on appropriate second source strategies, increasing capacities of vendors o Manage external partners strategically with a focus on innovation and continuous improvement, as well as operationally ensuring the partners' adherence to contractual obligations, regulatory governance through SLAs, operational escalation procedures, and day-to-day operational engagement including tracking requirements o Liaise with internal General Counsel and cross functional leadership to develop contractual agreements with external partners Ensure line haul operations and third-party carriers are compliant with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements by working closely with internal counsel and external consultants. Ensure all DOT regulations are followed, and compliance measurements are tracked. Partner with cross functional leadership to enhance processes, allocate resources, identify trade-offs, and leverage our product, tech, and back-office teams to drive execution Use data-driven decision-making to deliver meaningful results that align with the overall transportation strategy and develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators that will direct the teams to success. Lead the building and maintenance of a safety culture focused on continuous improvement, zero-incident mindset, individual accountability, organizational commitment, and innovative problem-solving which enable world class safety performance Deliver results through leading leaders in addition to managing financial and operating decisions and integrate business plans with talent plans Position Requirements, including skills, experience, education, etc.:
Minimum 10 years' experience in the associated job duties and essential functions; Minimum 7 years of leadership experience, with at least 5 years of senior management/executive experience. o BS/BA degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field from an accredited college/university; MBA or MA/MS in supply chain is a plus. o Experience with a private company or large business unit, preferably with complex transportation, fleet ops and logistics footprint. oo Experience in driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. o Warehouse design and corresponding equipment utilization experience. o Excellent written and oral communication skills. o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software and basic data analytics. Keen knowledge of driver population engagement and positive employee relations o Experience with a WMS, TMS and broad knowledge of transit tracking systems. Salary Range:
$200K -- $250K
Minimum Qualification
Supply Chain & LogisticsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
